Well... since CCP has made it clear that their intention is to have only vanity items available through MT i fail to see where your whining has any kind of relevance.
The rest of your post is also irrelevant.
His post is as irrelevant as yours as you failed to grasp the notion of the idea behind the post.
Lemme explain this to you for my own trolling reasons.
Equating CCP's printed/aired words to actual ingame mechanics being rescrutinized is equal to having faith in gravity bending down to allow a metahuman fakir stand on a bed of nails to amaze easily duped tourists.
See, we are "content tourists" by nature, imagine a voyeuristic mindset of sorts since we gobble up everything delivered to us by either TV/ADS/Interwebz, we are trained to equate visual stimulation with satisfaction, and this trend can easily be seen in current movies of these days that just want to make you have a seizure with the amount of CGI and bright colors and 3d crapness thrown at you. Problem is this model is not sustainable, as proven by the downfall of 3D <again> in several movies, since most people prefer to watch regular movies than 3d ones as the 3D fad is again on the downturn.
In some more years we will see 3D being pushed up again but that would be beating a dead horse with a pointy stick.
Now, as "content tourists" we will see the market is rapidly expanding to adapt to this, as now more and more MMO's for that matter need to cater up to the 3 to 6 months long subber that will "tourist" around an mmo, buying the trinkets offered at the tourist trap shops.
All of this to equate in their minds they have "visited" places outside their regular environment to feel "superior" to the other poorer tourists that simply tour their country of origin. Tourism is on the boom now because big companies discovered that by offering cheap semi affordable tourist packs of destination people would travel more since travelling equates socioeconomical power and social sites like FB thrive on PICTURES showing what you do and how great you think your life is.
IMAGES, IMAGES is what makes this world go round. So we are gorged out in visual stimuli so great, that we are now hedonistic "content tourists" that want to see more and more for cheaper but ironically leaving enough money in the destination countries for it to be profitable.
In Europe this has gone to a point where there are airlines now that CHARGE nominal fees of say 40 to 80 euros, sometimes lower, for round trips across most of europe VIA PLANE. And they are managing to become greater than trusted BIG AIRLINES because BIG AIRLINES have failed to graps the concept that LESS is MORE.
Now, with tourism it translates perfectly to the virtual world, since its a parallel world where people need to digest new stimuli to satiate created desires.
The point being made by OP is simply, the guy that moved to Thailand and now sees thailand being bombarded by tourists that trample upon his pristine secluded piece of paradise. I include myself in that category.
So, you fail to grasp the concern of OP by implying CCP having said one thing is not going to do what it has been doing lately. The Pent up anger is the anger of those used to living a certain way being swarmed by the faceless horde of "content tourists" that are more profitable to the countries as a whole than the lame weird USA EXPAT living in a third world country off a pension.
Please, for the sake of the children, learn to understand the intricacies of a post before retorting to it in a simplistic "irrelevant" way. Instead of saying the Ministry of Tourism proclaimed the UNESCO site is not going down but is being worked around, realize the UNESCO site is being torn down for a new theme park. That assumption, though proven false BY TIME is not at THE MOMENT satiated by empty words, thats all.
Thank you for not understanding.
Holy ****. This is a good post. ___________________
